Volunteering with the Friends
When you volunteer with the Friends of the Thurmont Regional Library, you help make more possible for our library and community.
From book sales and community events to sorting donations and supporting special projects, volunteers help turn good ideas into real opportunities for our neighbors.
You do not need special experience. You just need a willingness to lend a hand.
Ways You Can Help
There are a few simple ways to get involved, whether you prefer hands-on tasks, occasional activities, or just helping when needed.
Sort & Organize Books
Help sort donated books and prepare them for sales, storage, and future use.
Help Spread the Word
Help share what the Friends do by talking with others at community events or booths.
Help with Book Sales
Assist with setup, organizing tables, helping visitors, or packing up after sales.
Lend a Hand Where Needed
Pitch in with general tasks or one-time needs as they come up.
